Check Settings → Privacy → Location Services. Review which apps have access. Check if your partner's phone is linked to family location sharing.
On iPhone: Settings → Privacy → check for unfamiliar apps. On Android: Settings → Apps → look for spyware like mSpy, FlexiSpy, or Cerberus.
Change passwords from a safe device. Use a new email they don't know about. Enable two-factor authentication on accounts they may know about.
Shared Apple ID or Google account = shared photos, messages, location. Create your own account and sign out of shared accounts from a safe device.

A code word is a word or phrase you can text to a trusted person that means "I am in danger, call for help" or "come get me now." Choose something natural — a word you might use in regular conversation.
